IS IT SUMMER YET?
Whether we want it to or not, it's coming. So our best bet is to be prepared. Our skin will bear the effects of a different type of harsh weather condition: heat, dryness and sweat.
I didn't grow up in a sunscreen world! The sun was always a part of my way of life. I've only started to wear sunscreen sparingly a couple years ago. Guess what? It Works! So we want to layer this on real thick as if we are playing catch up.
Wearing makeup in the summer can cause your skin to look like a melting pot. Water resistant and water proof makeup should now be your best friend. Don't get me wrong, some skin actually benefit from the summer heat. My skin for instance is on the dry side and summer gives my skin the chance to really hydrate and glow.
I just want to share a couple tips that will help you maintain fabulous makeup looks.
EXFOLIATE
Exfoliate face and neck 1-2 times per week. Pollution, humidity, sunscreen and sweat can contribute to clogged pores - the equivalent of black heads, pimples and dry skin. Try our Mint Exfoliating Facial Polish
GO BARELY BARE
Really lighten your routine for the summer. Wear only what you need. LOL Please don't say "I need everything"
Use a creamy water-resistant concealer to cover shadows and spots. Try Fania Ffrench Liquid Concealer on areas of concern followed by a BB Cream. You can also mix an oil-free moisturizer with your foundation to achieve a softer and more sheer appearance.
